Dr. Brent Foster is the Assistant Vice Chancelor and Dean of Academic Programs for the CSU Office of the Chancellor. He also served as the State University Associate Dean for Curriculum and Assessment. Before joining the Chancellor’s Office, Dr. Foster was the Assistant Vice President of Undergraduate Studies and General Education at California State University Fullerton for nearly 5 years. He also served as the Fullerton Director of First Year Experience in 2015-2016. Prior to his administrative experiences, Dr. Foster was a full professor of communications teaching broadcast media courses at Fullerton since 2007. Before coming to California, Dr. Foster taught at the University of Central Missouri for 4 years and at Missouri Valley College for 4 years. Dr. Foster holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia and master’s and undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Missouri. He is also an honorable veteran of the US Army.
